A Year in Review: Data Driven Insight Into Employee Performance

Some of the most powerful insights for any organization can be found in your year-end reporting. You can condense data over longer stretches of time, covering many people and projects, to measure the health of your enterprise in the broadest terms.

With the data which exists inside ClickTime, you have access to an especially powerful report which displays vital information about individual employees over the course of a full year: the Employee Performance Report.

This report is often run over a 12-month period (but can be customized to any date range), typically at an annual performance review, at the end of a calendar or fiscal year, or when bonuses/profit-sharing decisions are often determined.

Here are some of the questions this report can answer at a glance:

  • What projects has this employee spent the most time on?
  • What was the billable utilization rate of this employee?
  • How many hours were worked in the year?
  • What was the total billable amount worked?
  • And can I trust this data (what percentage of time entries met your time entry completion rules to make this report)?

If you’ve never tried this report before, give it a try towards the end of 2019, and run it for the entire year. You’ll probably discover some interesting trends or insights that were hiding in plain sight.
