Coming Soon: Project Budgets
In the next few weeks, we will be rolling out our new Project Budgets feature to customers currently enrolled in our beta program.
Project Budgets is a new feature that we've designed for businesses who budget their projects by tasks. It's an exciting feature that offers a lot of value as it will serve as the foundation for several new and exciting features--like our upcoming project cost and profitability reports.
A Better Way to Estimate Projects
By the end of the year, Project Budgets will replace the current "Project by Task" estimation model in ClickTime. Our new feature allows Managers to create and administer a project's planned billings and hours based on task estimates.
Project Budgets allows you to produce a cleaner, more accurate project estimation model:
- A manager assigns the task and task hours that are associated with a specific project
- Project Budgets generates the estimated billings for each budgeted task
- Project Budgets combines the total number of estimated hours and estimated billings as the project's budget
(NOTE: If you currently use Project by Task estimation, don't worry: we've taken great care to ensure that Project Budgets offers all the functionality that you've grown accustomed to using.)
A Promising Future
Project Budgets is just the first in a series of improvements we plan on introducing to projects, budgets, and estimates within the world of ClickTime.
