Before ClickTime, Van Chang, Director of Finance at COPE Health Solutions and her team used Microsoft Access and Excel to track employee time. Between issues with deleted data, exporting files, and manually creating and recreating formulas on large spreadsheets, tracking time was a major strain on the business. Switching to online timesheets and resource planning software opened a new world of productivity for COPE.

Chang meets with the executive team every week to allocate staffing, report on budgets, and ensure that team members are working the appropriate amount of hours. It used to take Chang’s team dozens of hours to prepare for these meetings, report on projects and budgets, and strategize for future goals.

ClickTime reports aren’t just for executives. Using Resource Planning, employees are able to log into to ClickTime and see if they are over or under budget for their projects, and quickly understand how many hours they have available for any job.
“Resource Planning allows both management and employees to track time, costs, and projects — and more efficiently work toward our goals,” said Chang.
COPE also uses Resource Planning to measure employee performance and understand employee utilization over time. This data enables the team to hold more effective employee reviews, driven by data, rather than speculation or perception.
