Get Ready for Windows 8 and Internet Explorer 10

Table of Contents

MicrosoftMicrosoft is planning to release Windows 8 along with version 10 of the Internet Explorer web browser (IE10) in the coming weeks. We've already started using Windows 8 and preliminary testing shows that the new operating system and the new IE browser all work well with ClickTime.

We did find one minor issue with downloading the ClickTime Desktop Application which will be fixed in our October update. If you're an early adopter of Windows 8 and want to use the ClickTime Desktop App right away, the workaround is to first install Silverlight from Microsoft's web site as follows:

  1. Using Windows 8, go to Microsoft's Silverlight web site and install Silverlight.
  2. Sign in to ClickTime and download the Desktop Application.

That's it.

We realize not everyone is going to jump on board with Windows 8 right away, but if you do, you'll be able to continue using ClickTime effectively.
